Sorry to delay, but I'm quite busy with HQ Scans Project and my new server.

Thanks for the update GH!

Everything is set now in standard play for both constructed and sealed deck building! 8)

STILLLLLLL waiting...

An important item to make note of is that the legality update needs to include fixing the portal/starter cards that were reprinted in 9th, and if possible, update the old versions of cards reprinted in 9E where the creature type was changed (see 9E FAQ). If there are any reprints in Rav, the same goes for them.

(GobinHero: Do you have a program that can perform SQL-like update queries against the MWS database?? Since devs are awol, i would gladly give anything to get a program to better edit the db, not just for myself but for redistribution of the improved masterbase! Anything possible.. if direct work with the db is too hard, then a mws-to-dbase/foxpro converter would work.)

One more thing: promo cards (like the beautiful balance DCI) are listed as restricted/unrestricted in T1, but are considered banned anyway during the deck check. Is it possible to unban them?

It's already made in my base.

Why don't you just use my base?

Ok, I'll do it in the next release.

Sorry, im not of the "if you cant beat em, join em" mentality. I just want to update the official, no-flavor masterbase. Most of the public uses that, not yours, so Im inclined to try to get that one fixed. If you could release your completely bug-free base (?) with the flavor removed, no special sets, gatherer text updated, the rulings pane text is the same as the masterbase, etc to Det to make a new gamepack, please do!

Is there a way to edit the filter to pick up 9E instead of 9ED? It's not a big deal but MOTL doesn't recognize 9ED for the price base.

Nope sorry, you would have to remove the whole 9ED set then replace with 9E. Alternatively you could run the magictraders update, then edit the text file that gets dumped in the mws folder, search+replace 9E to 9ED, then do a By File price update in MWS.

Im starting to think I will have to offer cash to someone to come up with official database updates, or cash to Det/Crazzy to release his proprietary db editing/update creating program. Seriously. Heck ill pay Brainwad for his program if he can add in search/query with mass data update capability.

As far as I'm concerned, modern sets like 9ED should all have 3-letter abbreviations in every case. That's the official way and it has been the official way since before that set was released, so there's no excuse for creating the databse for it with any other abbreviation.

Thats why I didn't ask for a different database to be created, only if there was a simple way to change mine 8)

And no matter what you or I feel the abreviation should be, the bottom line is the price bases don't update with the three letter abreviation. I use the price bases alot, and prefer GoblinHero's masterbase. Which leaves me with the problem of changing all the 9ED to 9E and not having the filters work properly, or not changing the 9ED and not being able to get the prices.
